I recently attended the ACA National Conference and I got a lot of great information that I hope to pass on to you in the coming weeks.

Scott Arizala shared a camp song with some of us that I knew right away I would be leading at camp this summer. Some of you may have heard this one, but I know a lot of you haven’t.

Basically it takes some of our childhood songs, that everyone knows the words to, and allows the campers to sing them to a classic rock beat that everyone knows. It got me thinking, “What other mash-ups can we do?” In this version the song takes the lyrics of I’m a Little Teapot, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and the ABCs. The beat is from Queen’s We Will Rock You. Below are the lyrics and an MP3 of me singing (if that’s what you want to call it) the song.

So the first thing you need to do is get all the campers and staff to give you the beat. Then, since everyone knows the lyrics, you just start singing.
